iDropper is here to minimise the effort in collecting image media from the Internet. Whether it be for business, pleasure or research, you'll find iDropper is all you need to simplify the entire process. In fact, you'll wonder how you managed without it!

If you download images, you'll possibly have accidentally changed your wallpaper, by missing the correct menu option. Or you'll have saved an image, and been presented with a question like

"C:Imagesimage1.jpg already exists. Do you want to replace it?".

iDropper avoids these problems and others, by allowing you to see what's going on at the time, all the time.

iDropper Features:

Drag-'n'-Drop Capture
Simply drag the desired image from a web page onto iDropper, and it's as good as saved. This can be in the image folder you specify, or you can file related images in subfolders of the image folder.

This feature is assisted by the automatic selection of the target subfolder by the image's filename. Drag-'n'-drop is also further enhanced by Image Rules, which allow you to specify criteria for the filename so that iDropper can know which subfolder to use.

Alternatively, you can use iDropper to pass the image to your favorite image viewer, so that you can view it instead of saving it.

Screen Capture
Sometimes, when the image is used as a link, it is not possible to drag the image, as it is the URL for the link that's being dragged instead. This is where the screen capture feature can be used, to select any part of the screen that can then be saved to a JPEG.

Clipboard capture
If the Clipboard Monitor is active, iDropper can make use of what you copy into the clipboard.

Image
If you copy an image to the clipboard, or even a PrintScreen of the full desktop, iDropper can save the clipboard to a JPEG file.

URL
If you copy a link to a file, whether this be to an image, a ZIP file or whatever, iDropper can add the target file to the internal queue, which can be downloaded into the subfolder of your choice.

Magnify Window
The magnify window can be toggled on and off, and allows you to zoom into any area of the Windows Desktop, with up to 4x magnification. This can be used in conjunction with the Screen Capture function to aid with the capture selection.

Browser
When active, you can select to browse the images in the main image folder or any of the subfolders. If the Browser is not enabled, Windows Explorer can be used instead.

Duplicate Removal
One of the most useful features of iDropper is its ability to avoid saving images that you already have. Since it is very common for different people to use the same name for different images (e.g. using the name of the subject for the filename) it can become confusing when saving a new image with the same name as one you already have. Equally, you might already have saved an image, but with a different filename.

iDropper will search through the folder to find a duplicate image, in order to save you time and disk space.

Printing
Images obtained in any of the above methods can be printed. iDropper includes a Preview dialog so that you can set-up the page perfectly before printing. Plus, in order to re-use as much of the paper as possible, especially if you're using expensive photo-quality paper, iDropper will show you which areas of the paper are already used, so you can slot the next image on an unused part.
